Yauheni Solad, MD, MHS – Medical Director of IT at Yale New Haven Hospital System and Medical Information Officer at Greenwich Hospital.
Dr. Solad received medical degree (summa cum laude) from the Belarussian State Medical University (Minsk, Belarus) and Master of Health Science in Clinical Informatics from Yale University. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Clinical Informatics. Dr. Solad completed his residency in internal medicine at Griffin Hospital and fellowship in Clinical Informatics at Yale Center for Clinical Informatics.
During his informatics training Dr. Solad’s work was focused on broad area of Clinical Informatics related to clinical research registries (knowledge transition from pancreatic cystic neoplasms management guidelines to a research registry); Wearable Technologies and Telemedicine ; Smart Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system for mobile devices; EMR optimization and development decision support system
Currently Dr.Solad leads a team of informatics, technology and clinical specialists that focus on Epic EMR (in-patient and out-patient) optimization, implementation and improvement of Decision support system, multiple remote health and smart devices initiatives with the ultimate goal of improvement of quality, safety and cost-effectiveness of medical care
Dr. Solad continue to practice clinical medicine as a hospitalist. He is actively involved in the healthcare startup community as an investor, industry expert and member of advisory board for several companies.
Outside his work Dr. Solad is a musician and active football (soccer) fan.
